The last Newstead market for 2025 will be on Saturday 15th November, at the Newstead Park in Lyons Street, between 8.30 am and 1 pm. It’s a great place to find local produce, garden plants and unique Christmas gifts.
We’re delighted to announce the return of live music to the market with Newstead local singer-songwriter Rob Ryan. Rob is appearing at Newstead Live in January 2026 but if you come to the market, you’ll be able to hear him for free! Rob will present a mix of original songs and covers.

Here are some of the stall holders that will be present at the market:
- CFA BBQ offering sausages, burgers and our famed egg and bacon rolls, as well as tea, coffee and a selection of cold drinks.
- CFA Trash and Treasure stall, selling donated items, including kitchen ware, collectables, lots of books, hardware, tools and children’s toys. Most items are not priced – just make us an offer and take home a bargain. All funds raised go to support the Newstead fire brigade.
- CFA manure sales – horse manure and sheep manure sourced locally, bagged and ready to use in your spring garden.
- Yandoit Creek Preserves, selling their delicious range of homemade preserves including jams, relishes, chutneys and their much-loved lemon curd and piccalli.
- A variety of stalls selling bric-a-brac, plants, tools, crafts and books.
- Mount Alexander Local Exchange Trading Scheme with a selection of home-grown vegetables, plants, local free-range eggs preserves and sour-dough bread.
- Loddon River Honey
